After the 2010 U.S. Census all County Board Districts were remapped to reflect population shifts.  County Board 26 was the most populated district in the county due to the explosion of growth in north Bourbonnais during the previous decade.  During the redistricting process it was concluded that District 26 would remain the fasting growing district in the county and therefore was remapped from being the most populated district to the least populated to allow for growth.

During my campaign to be elected to the county board in 2010 I was fortunate enough to meet and talk with alot of people of the then 26th district.   However do to the remapping process the boundary lines of the 26th district changed, all the addresses redrawn out of the 26th district have been drawn into the newly created 16th district and the 27th district.  The great news is that the representative from the 27th district, Pat McConnell, is a conservative Republican who I have had the opportunity to serve with on the county board.  The newly formed 16th district has no current representative but conservative Michael Hildebrand has launched a successful primary campaign to represent this newly formed Bourbonnais district.

Below you can find a map of the new 26th district which includes the northern part of Bourbonnais, housing some of Kankakee County's largest employers Cigna, WalMart, as well as a variety of chain and locally-owned retail outlets, restaurants, and service businesses.

I am excited about the opportunity to continue to speak with the current and new residents and business owners of District 26.
