Economy:

The issue I hear the most about from the concerned people I talk to is the economy.  The economic environment nationally contributes directly to the local environment in Kankakee County.  Kankakee County needs to continue to pursue new and relocating industry and present an inviting climate for these businesses to take root in our community. While pursuing new industry we also have to be sure to present a nurturing environment for our current local businesses to grow and prosper.

Financial Responsibility:

Intervention through Innovation.  The spending at every level of government needs to be broke down and rebuilt using a conservative approach and a rational mindset.  An inflated budget can be worse than no budget at all, and while budgets exist at the county level as an elected representative my goal is to make sure your tax dollars are well spent.

Technology in Government:

Technology has grown rapidly over this past decade, from accessibility of computers to local online businesses.  As a local government we need to evaluate the way things have been done and see how we can apply technology to improve processes, lower costs, and ultimately provide the best services we can to our great county.
